I was tasked by my company with designing and implementing a new server room infrastructure to improve the company's IT operations. This project involved a complete overhaul of the existing infrastructure, which was outdated and unable to meet the demands of the growing organization. A high-speed network infrastructure, including switches and routers, to ensure fast and reliable data transfer. A comprehensive backup system to protect critical data in the event of hardware failure or other issues A robust power management system, including UPS and power distribution units, to provide uninterrupted power supply to the servers A virtualization platform using VMware, to allow for the efficient use of hardware resources and provide flexibility in managing the company's IT operations. To implement this plan, I worked closely with a team of engineers and technicians, overseeing the installation of new equipment, configuring the network infrastructure, and setting up the virtualization platform. I also developed detailed documentation and provided training to the IT staff on how to manage the new infrastructure. The new server room and virtualization platform proved to be a significant success, allowing the company to improve its IT operations and reduce costs associated with hardware and software licensing. The new infrastructure also provided a more reliable and flexible environment, allowing the IT staff to respond quickly to changing business needs. Overall, my experience in implementing a server room and virtualization has provided me with valuable skills in project management, team collaboration, and technical expertise in designing and managing complex IT infrastructures.
