  • I am a Mathematics teacher in the Elementary department. At Global Bilingual Academy we implement The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in teaching and learning of Mathematics. Lesson plans and activities are planned quarterly and adapted throughout the quarter based on students’ needs. I attend weekly meetings with parallel teachers to plan and discuss areas of improvement in the grade. As a homeroom teacher, it is my responsibility to keep record of students’ behaviour and academic progress as well as giving students’ reports to parents. I am also a member of the technology support team. We provide teachers support through workshops on how to incorporate technology in the classroom. We also contribute towards the school improvement plan by setting a needs analysis for the school as me are moving towards becoming a technology inclined school.

  • As a grade 4-6 Mathematics teacher I was responsible for developing lesson plans and differentiated activities that align with the Cambridge International Curriculum. I also had to keep record of my form class academic performance. Arrange meetings with parents to discuss academic progress and individual targets each semester. Collaborate with parallel teachers and set syllabus, blue prints, homework and ongoing assessments. As a year head I was responsible to assist with the conducting of assemblies and morning broadcast.
