*Responsible for ensuring quality work is being performed on military vehicles. Perform initial, in-progress, classification, and final QA/QC inspections. Use and interpret technical manuals, bulletins, and written directives in the performance of all inspections. Order required repair parts using appropriate parts manuals.
*Perform estimated cost of damage (ECOD), actual cost of damage (ACOD) and estimated cost of repair (ECOR) inspections and verify condition codes. Perform PDQR/SDR process when receiving improper or damaged repair supply parts. Perform testing and certification of equipment and material during Load Testing Processes, including cranes and material handling equipment.
*Responsible for supervising maintenance personnel when inspecting work being conducted before and after the inspection of a vehicle is being worked on.
*Verified that certain types of safety tests were conducted on the M1A1 main battle tanks as well as other combat vehicles. Also conducted safety inspections on all fire suppression systems on all MRAPS and other military tactical equipment.
*Evaluated and documented field operational capability and report results to customer and upper management and verified that all maintenance records were updated and properly filled out in accordance with the AR 750-1.
*Served as a safety representative in my department and was responsible making periodic inspections of units to detect and correct leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and malfunction of mechanical units, meters, and gauges such as fuel hydrants, tank pits, distribution lines, storage tanks, turbines, pumps, and control rooms.
