* SUMMARY:
Plans, controls, leads, directs, and supervises all matters relating to the insurance function in the Organization. Decides and designs the adequate coverage protecting the Organizations' facilities, assets, liabilities and employees against any insurable risk to attain the Organization financial stability.
* BRIEFING OF JOB DESCRIPTION: - Supervises and directs the team.
- Participates and contributes to the performance improvement strategies and Balanced scorecard including team development and business improvement.
- Ensures decisions are made in accordance with the ERM and HSE policies and guidelines and reports regularly on the key business risks to the Executives.
- Team's budget and KPI preparation and tracking.
- Develops policies, procedures, and manuals to facilitate the operations of the Team. This includes analyzing current work practices, identifying best practices, familiarizing staff in operation of agreed procedures. - Risk analysis and identifies assets and liabilities to insure,
- Analyzing the market place to obtain alternative cover and compiling cost analysis of transfer. - Preparation of assets valuation contract, verifies values/details in valuation reports. - Supervises purchase of insurance and renewal of covers.
- Sets out insured values and terms/conditions of the proposed cover and obtains quotations for the same. - Evaluates quotations including the financial/technical parts and submits recommendations to Management.
- Manage insurance premium payments with the concerned parties.
- Analyzing current national/international insurance market rates and conditions for renewal purpose and coordinate with brokers.
- Negotiates terms/conditions of coverages with brokers and insurance companies. - Coordinates and monitors the handling of insurance claims by notifying incidents immediately to the insurance companies, appointing approved surveyors/adjusters/solicitors as necessary in relation to each claim, arranging for receipt of documentation/information pertinent to the claim, and examining claims adjustments, and negotiate with the Adjusters/Insurers for acceptable claim settlement.
