• Ensuring compliance: Ensure that designs and construction processes adhere to AISC and MBMA standards, using appropriate load factors, conducting structural analysis, and meeting quality, performance, and safety requirements.
• Technical support: Provide assistance and guidance to architects, engineers, fabricators, and contractors throughout the design and construction phases, reviewing shop drawings and addressing design-related queries.

· Conduct plateworks development, optimizing material utilization and minimizing waste in accordance with project specifications.

· Collaborate with other designers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure proper integration of dedusting ductwork and plateworks within the overall project design.

· Perform quality control checks on ductwork detailing, plateworks development, and subcontractor deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance.

· Monitor subcontractor performance, providing feedback and support to ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and contractual obligations.

· Coordinate with project teams to address any issues or conflicts that arise with subcontractors, implementing corrective actions when necessary.

· Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance project processes, ductwork detailing techniques, plateworks development methodologies, and subcontractor management practices.

· Workshop Operations: The manager is responsible for the overall operations of the fabrication workshop. This includes organizing workflow, assigning tasks to workers, and ensuring smooth production processes.

· Resource Management: They manage resources such as raw materials, equipment, and manpower to optimize production efficiency. This involves planning and scheduling work, allocating resources effectively, and monitoring inventory levels.

· Quality Control: The workshop manager is responsible for maintaining high-quality standards in fabrication processes. They develop and enforce quality control procedures, conduct inspections, and implement corrective actions to ensure that fabricated products meet required specifications.
