Hospital Description

New Mowasat Hospital was established in 1965 with 100 bedded acute care private facilities providing a full range Medical, Surgical, Obstetrics, Gynecology. Pediatric and Diagnostic services. The hospital is accredited by Accreditation Canada International (ACI) and Joint Commission International (JCI). Nursing at NMH is administered with full infrastructure of Policy Manuals, Job Descriptions, Evaluation, Nursing Quality Improvement and Nursing Practice Committees.

• Directs and Supervises Nursing services personnel within the pediatric ward in accordance with the hospital, governmental bodies(MOH) and other regulatory standard.
• Prepares work schedules and assigns personnel in the absence of head nurse. Evaluates work performance and makes recommendation.
• Conducts daily inspection of assigned patient care areas for compliance with policies, procedure, regulations, infection control and risk management standards, and takes corrective actions/ makes recommendations where violations occur in order to rectify the situation.
• Ensures that the delivery of care in the pediatric ward and HDU in in a manner which is appropriate to the patients age and developmental stage.
• Responsible and accountable without direct supervision for the assessment of required care needs and the development, Implementation and evaluation of care for children in pediatric ward and HDU.
• To promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through evidenced care practice.
• To act as clinical role model and leader for all staff members and to ensure the provision of appropriate supervision support to members of the team.
• To manage allocated resources effectively and efficiently and to maintain the correct skill mix of staff for patient assignment.

• Provide individualized holistic and culturally sensitive care.
• Demonstrates knowledge and competence in nursing procedures.
• Administer prescribed medication safety and effectively.
• Assists the physician in special procedures, rounds and delegated task.
• Accurate documentation of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning and evaluation.
• Collaborate with help care team in proving patients care.
• Follow institutional policies and standards in patients care.
• Protects the patients' bill of rights as patients advocate.
• Provides health's education to patients and significant others.
• Ensures that nursing care meets the regulatory standard.
