  • Managed the workload for the work center. This involved reviewing all the maintenance discrepancies on all the aircraft prior to the beginning of the shift and then tasking out personnel to complete the jobs necessary to meet the flight schedule.
  • Ensured that all maintenance actions on 14 aircraft were performed safely and efficiently in accordance with all pertinent technical manuals , including the 4790 and NATOPS, and standard operating procedures while ensuring that stringent flight schedules were met.
  • Upon assigning tasks to workers, ensured that all maintenance was carried out, completed and performed correctly. This included inspecting all tools for serviceability and calibration prior and after use, inspecting the work area for contamination, inspecting all components for corrosion and serviceability, ensuring all components and parts were installed correctly, and ensuring that all the aircraft systems worked properly after completion of the maintenance.
  • Awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for successfully running the Powerline Work Center during a 6 month deployment to Kuwait while being undermanned and complying with harsh maintenance schedules.
  • Supervised multiple programs for yearly inspections including, but not limited to, tool control, foreign object damage, fuel surveillance, and vibration analysis.
  • Troubleshot the fuel and power plants systems through acquired knowledge of theory of operation, often making extremely time critical decisions. This involved detecting fuel and oil leaks on all engines and fuel cells, locating bleed air leaks, inspecting fuel cells for serviceability, and identifying any discrepancies with the aircraft systems which were often either mechanical or electrical. This often required shooting wires, tracing the discrepancy to the exact component failure, checking proper installation of components, making sure all measurements on the aircrafts components were accurate.
  • Performed routine detailed inspections of fuel and power plant systems. This included inspecting all motors and fuel cells, inspecting tools and components, ensuring all systems and subsystems worked properly.
  • Upon arrival, directed, parked, tied down and serviced the aircraft while also performing a quick inspection.
  • Maintained constant communication with the Maintenance Control Work Center and with all personnel in the work center.
  • Developed, presented, and documented training lectures which directly correlated with every day maintenance procedures.
  • Wrote detailed pass downs at the end of every shift.
