• Operation and maintenance of CISCO DWDM ONS15454, CIENA DWDM OME6500, NORTEL DWDM OM5200, CISCO SDH ONS15310, NORTEL SDH OM4200, OME6110.
• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of Keymile UMUX1500 &UMUX1200,ABB XMC25 & XMC23.
• Traffic migration from legacy SDH equipments to MPLS-TP XMC25 & XMC23.
• Experience on Huawei NCE-T Network Management System, Ciena One Control and Cisco EPNM servers.
• Experience on Huawei Netstar and Ciena Oneplanner planning tools.
• Technical review and resolution of HLD, LLD, implementation and migration documentations provided by contractor for fiber optic transmission network design, operation and traffic migration.
• Provide technical design and engineering services in Telecommunication Engineering for all assigned engineering projects.
• Conduct Telecommunication Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from initial concept definition phase through to; engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning. Develops technical solution and action plan to perform service migration required on DWDM systems during network implementation and expansion.
• Co-ordinate engineering designs, develop and review multi-disciplinary workscopes for projects and other engineering activities. Ensure that work scope is comprehensive and clear.
• Managing NOC operations-Alarm monitoring, Fault management, Performance monitoring, Configurations and Power management.
• Conduct physical inspection and acceptance test for newly completed projects & highlight issues if contractor not followed quality of work as per KOC standard.
• Identifying CCTV, PAGA, ACS system & analyzing defects, questionable functions, errors and inconsistencies in equipment operations; escalating important issues; ensuring technical compliance as per client requirements.
• Testing and troubleshooting fiber optic cables and systems using OSA, OTDR, Light source and Power meter.
• Coordinating with Preventive Maintenance team on daily basis for maintenance activity of power /rectifier systems, DWDM and SDH systems.

• Sound Knowledge of Microwave & Optical Transport (SDH/PDH/DWDM) and DWDM.
• O&M and exploring features available Nortel SDH NEs - OME 6110, TN1C, TN1X, OME 6120, OME 6130, TN4X, OME 6140, TN16X and OME 6500.
• Hands On experience on Ciena Mux at STM-1/4/16/64 level.
• Hands on Experience on NEC Microwave systems.
• Fault handling and NEs integration in coordination with NOC and controlling Fault Rate.
• Preventive maintenance and rectification of degraded MW/Optical links, PM Error cases.
• Re-routing or re-homing of links and migration of traffic as per requirement.
• Having knowledge of STM analyzer, LSPM and Ethernet Tester.
• E2E circuit provisioning.
• Ensuring R&R as per RMA process.
• Responsible for configuration and troubleshooting of links

• Managing association of transmission equipments on NMS for vendors like Siemens, Alcatel lucent, Huawei, (TNMS, Netviewer, ITM-SC, eOMS, PHM, SyncView and U2000).
• Responsible for migration of traffic between Siemens, Alcatel lucent and Huawei nodes as per network design requirements.
• Perform first level Fault diagnosis.
• Carrying out MDT and TC cutover activities for new nodes addition to network or shifting live traffic between nodes, migration of traffic (2MB, STM1, STM4 & STM64), Switching Off, dismantling of equipments, Software version up-gradation of different equipment and also DWDM.
• To check/verify Long Distance Transmission Network for DWDM activities and verify affected rings/links information.
• Assigning Task to related Work Group through BMC Remedy and provides expert guidance to MC stations staff when required.
• Analyze and propose solution for Manageability problems in network.
