Assistant Professor with 20+ years of experience in the education sector. Successfully contributed to Computer Science curriculum development and delivery. Driven to contribute to program outcomes by facilitating engagement and supporting learning objectives. Enthusiastic professional with a background in academic advisement. Reliable team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Analytical Research Specialist with experience in experimental research and data analysis. The recent research projects focus on Bioinformatics using computational intelligence that includes applications of artificial intelligence. The major aim of using these research techniques is to diagnose fatal human diseases that must be diagnosed as early as possible.
Academic research
undefinedThe following undergraduate courses are taught:
Notes: The courses are sorted from newest to oldest.
Project Summary:
Medical disease diagnosis and Bioinformatics is the vast application of artificial intelligence. Researchers are working in this field and already achieved tremendous result but with the development of human efforts toward luxurious life result in the creation of more pollution which in turn damage human health and cause diseases with different variations. We proposed a deep learning method for the detection of cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular is the blockage of blood vessels that can lead to heart attack, stokes and angina.
Project Summary:
The main objective of this research is to develop a system that can suggest enhanced learning tracks based on prior learning information about learners. This system provides the adaptability to the LMS by providing the learners with different learning contents and different methods of presentation based on their preferences. It also suggests, adaptive learning pathways to learners based on their previous learning activities and results, such as, asking the learner to repeat a prerequisite topic or read more examples, repeat a topic in more details, taking more exercises with less or higher difficulty levels.
Event Summary:
KCPC is part of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), the world’s oldest and most prestigious programming contest for universities. Simply put, it is a programming contest between university-level students where students compete in teams of 3. Participating in this contest gives the students the opportunity to prepare for the ACM Arab Collegiate Programming Contest (ACPC), a qualifying round to the ACM ICPC World Finals. Additionally, the competition gives students the means for extracurricular work at the foundation of their education, giving them the chance to learn in a competitive yet collaborative environment that is hard to achieve in regular classrooms.
Event Summary:
The Gulf Programming Contest provided an opportunity for university students from around the region majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or any IT related subjects to display their abilities in programming and problem solving. The teams were given eight to ten programming problems to be solved using one PC only.
